Masking Ritual
Maintain clear and healthy skin by masking once or twice a week. Regular masking improves the appearance of pores and evens the skin tone. Choose a mask rich in vitamins and skin-boosting antioxidants to brighten the skin and restore balance.
YOU WILL NEED:
Your favourite mask, a brush (or you can use fingers), and a soft facial wash cloth or mitt.
THE RITUAL:
1. Light a candle or make a cup of tea to create an intentional self care ritual for yourself.
2. Smooth the mask all over your face, either with your hands or a brush. You may need to activate the mask with water depending on what product you are using.
3. While the mask works, I like to take this time to do some meditation. You could also read a book, do some breathing exercises, or enjoy a moment of peace with a cup of tea.
4. Then use a hot steamy washcloth or mitts to remove the mask and rinse thoroughly with warm water.
EXTRA TIPS:
I will then use an exfoliating toner and massage in a few drops of facial oil and moisturiser to finish my skincare ritual.
I like to use a detoxifying mask once a week to lift dirt and excess oil, and a more nourishing mask once a week to deeply hydrate the skin.
